FOUR-YEAR STREAM

A MESSAGE FROM YOUR HEAD CAPE

Hello Gaels! My name is Abbie Laurin and I am the Head Cape for Nursing Orientation 2022! I’m from Stratford Ontario and I’m a third-year nursing student here at Queen’s. I am so excited to welcome you to Queen’s University and our amazing little nursing community! I cannot express how excited I am for you to embark on this incredible journey and for you to be a part of this close knit community! I feel truly honored that I get to be a part of welcoming you to Queen’s and the School of Nursing! I hope you find the orientation experience to be fun, rewarding, and exciting! My hope is that you will all make some friends, learn a little bit about the years ahead, and feel a little more confident and comfortable as you begin to make this transition into university life!

MEET YOUR NURSING ORIENTATION COMMITTEE

Led by the Head Cape, the Nursing Orientation Committee (NOC) has been hard at work this past year organizing your Orientation Week!

MEET YOUR CAPES

Your orientation leaders, affectionately known as CAPES, are second-year students who will help lead orientation activities and welcome you to Queen's. They serve as an excellent resource not just during Orientation Week, but throughout first year and beyond. Ask them about their favourite late-night campus food spots, the best study spaces, and academic resources to set you up for success!
