A MESSAGE FROM YOUR "HEAD CAPE"
Hi there! My name is Jen, and I am the Head Cape (Orientation Chair) for Nursing Orientation Week 2020! I want to extend my warmest congratulations and welcome to the Queen's University Community, and more specifically the nursing community.
What an exciting time! Nursing Orientation, we hope, will be one of the many highlights of your first year here at Queen's. The Nursing Orientation Committee is working hard along with your Orientation Leaders to plan the most exciting, accessible and inclusive Orientation Transition yet. Queen's Nursing is a community full of intelligent, hard-working, welcoming and supportive individuals. We can hardly wait to meet you all!
Throughout Orientation Week, you will have the opportunity to meet many individuals both from nursing specifically, as well as the Queen's community in general. Your leaders throughout Orientation Week are called "Capes". Your capes will be able to answer any questions you have about first-year and provide you with resources to make you successful through this new and exciting journey!
Given the current circumstances with COVID-19, we are planning a remote Orientation Transition. Therefore, there will be a very small cost this year to participate in Orientation Week. You will be able to register with a link that will be provided in early July. More information will be posted throughout the summer months.
If you have any questions, feel free to contact Jen Bean (Head Cape) at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Your NOC and Capes can’t wait to meet you!
